Question Best tool brand for compounding and waxing?

Got fed up with the orbital buffer I ve used for years and looking to get a variable speed waxer and buffer. Just curious as to what brand you guys prefer and have lasted the longest?

Thanks in advance!!

Check out Griot's Garage web site.
Best of Everything to do with polishing and waxing.

I've had my makita since 2000 and I'm happy with it. It's a rotary machine, not sure if you're looking to make the switch. If you're not I second the griots garage. Seems to be a quality piece.

The Porter Cable 7424 is a random orbit buffer-polisher that is standard issue for car freaks. Mine is used a lot - 4 cars and 2 boats - and is going strong after 20 years.
