Default Beach Pond, CT/RI

Anyone ever fish up there before? I am renting a cabin there for this upcoming weekend and will be doing lots of fishing. I know there are tons of different species in there, but any tips/info on it would be awesome. I'll be fishing from a kayak!

Tight lines all!

I occasionally stop there on my way to my Moms house in Newport and have fished the banks along the road that splits the lake many times. No good tips, have caught some largemouth on senko and cranks but nothing noteworthy. I have caught some nice trout in the Nearby Wood And Flat rivers which are gorgeous trout streams. From Beach Pond Head east on ten rod road and north on old ten rod road to the confluence of flat and wood rivers. Great fishing and easy access.

I haven’t fished it but I know it has some big walleye. If you want to go for them try at night. I think there are alewifes in there too, you could hang lights off your kayak and attract the alewifes, the walleye will follow them around.

Beach pond is also stocked with trout - or at least it used to be. I had a friend who lived in a cabin right on Beach Pond and I caught trout off his front lawn.

Thanks for the tips fellas! I packed up all the gear last night and will be getting there late tonight. Hoping I can get on some fish, and also hoping I can get my roommates who have never fished on some as well!
