Default fish ID?

Can anyone ID this fish. I have been catching a bunch of them with the smallies on the Newark watershed reservoirs. If so does any one know the regulations on them?
thanks

Its a Rock Bass... Me and my buddy caught about 30 of them today in the Passaic River... 20 of them were a solid pound which is amazing size for this fish..

PS.. Rock Bass are not really bass, they are actually in the sunfish family

They fall under the same regs as the sunfish. Most places the is no min size and can keep up 25 combine of the fish under the same regs. Check out the the reg summay on the fish and game website. I actually printed out a small version of the id/regs and laminated it so I can check if I'm unsure when out fishing.
