And sadly ,of those 250000 ,approximately 400 donors to the SSFFF. Captain Adam may know the number of RFA members,im sure its disappointing. Of course its a helluva lot easier to bitch and moan to each other on this site and on the water than dig in and do something. We better wake up,its getting late!

I'll let them answer what they've done, but what exactly are they supposed to do with no money and little support? They're captains and fishermen themselves, and I do believe they are really looking out for our best interests. Sure as hell doing a lot more with what little they have than we are bitching on this site or at the tackle shop, or wherever. The biggest contributors I personally know to the SSFFF are captains and tackle stores. They bitch too, but they back it up. I think fishermen have a responsibility to do the same.

I agree, but my point was the number came back on the OPRA form as the over 251 million registered. Just goes to show how little the powers to be are even looking at the work as its passed on.

I wanted to know the approx number to see how little a percentage show up in Washington next month .

remember anyone fishing only on head or charter boats , dont have to register so they are not included in the 250 thousand number, as they are exempt

You do realize that some people registered and never went fishing or some went once, why on earth would those people contribute if they went a few times?

Giving money to an organization is great, but actually going to meeting and voicing your opinions are way better.

The Noaa collection for trip data is even more Bullshit. Since im registered with Noaa as a for hire vessel I was surveyed 3 times this past season.
They asked how many times the boat fished, and out of what port.Thats was all the info they wanted.

Never asked How many guys fished, nor what we fished for, or caught.NOT 1 question about a daily catch
