Lightbulb Freshwater Fisheries Forum February 25 at Batsto Village

A public forum to discuss freshwater fisheries research and management, culture and recreational angling in New Jersey will be held on Saturday, February 25 at the Batsto Village Visitors Center located on Rt. 542 in Wharton State Forest, Burlington County. The forum will begin at 10 a.m.
The NJDEP Division of Fish and Wildlife is conducting these meetings to improve communication with the angling public and to solicit public input in shaping freshwater fisheries programs in the future. The forums are a perfect opportunity for all freshwater anglers to learn about existing programs, and to share their views and recommendations.
Topics cover all aspects of freshwater management, including both warmwater and coldwater fisheries. Come and be a voice in the development of future regulations and management strategies affecting New Jersey’s freshwater resources.
Professional staff from the Bureau of Freshwater Fisheries will be on hand to answer questions and provide updates on current research, culture and management programs.
Pre-registration is not required but is appreciated, and will help ensure that all attendees can be accommodated. Individuals can pre-register by calling 856-629-4950 or by sending an e-mail to Christopher.Smith@dep.state.nj.us. Be sure to include name, address, phone number and the number of people attending.

one note on the directions from "From Trenton/Mt. Holly Area
Take Route 206 South to mile marker #3 and make a left onto Route 613. Continue on 613 and make left onto Route 693. Follow 693 until the road ends and make left onto Route 542; Batsto Village is on your left."

There are a few bridges that were washed out during last August's Hurricane/non-Hurricane (Irene?).

So have a map handy and follow the detour signs, you basically have to swing a bit south then come up and meet 542 from the other (East) direction.
