after my nerve block wore off i had very little pain. i did start fishing a bit early. but one thing is you need to follow up with pt and when they start stretching you're shoulder is when i had the most discomfort but i got full range of motion back and i am now 100 percent healed. i think the people who have had trouble with the surgey had it before arthroscopic.they got sliced open with a big wound that had to heal.I never took one pain pill because i really had no pain at all ,a little discomfort while sleeping in a reclining chair.

if you do got on the boat make sure the sling is tight and i would ace bandage it around the mid section so you dont reach out to stabilize youre self when the boat rocks.leave your hand free to reel.

Kevin,
seems like my experience is similar to yours so far.I have been going to therapy and I took only a few pain pills.sleeping has been the only reel problem. The ace bandage around the waist is a great idea.that will keep me from extending my arm to grab the rail for stability.

3-4 months id say if your persistent with therapy. ive had my labrum done multiple times and have been back surfing around that time. similar surgery/recovery if its done arthroscopic and not opened up

I have been putting it off for three years now. Partial tears in both labrims. Truth be told I was told recovery and pt is a bitch, but so is this shoulder pain. Maybe next off season. Problem is I don't have an off season
