crappies are addictive because they are great eating and when you catch one you usually catch more in the same area.they are a cool looking fish that is fun to catch. those ones you got are really nice fish great job

Your thread peaked my interest and I had to research the origins of the fish name "crappie".
It turns out it has its origins in the French Canadian name for this fish 'crapet'.
Crapet is the French word for 'sunfish'.
