The current president has already stocked his EPA with radicals whose views are more in line with PETA. Right now they have their attentions directed at devastating our homegrown energy sources. Give them another four years and they'll get around to our fisheries. And these are the high profile people we know about. God only knows what the annonymous little despots that toil in Fish & Wildlife (Dep't of the Interior) have in store for us.

At the very best case scenario, Obama couldn't care less about our concerns. We would be a bone he throws to his rabid dogs.

His EPA people just sent out a memo honoring Che Guevara the commie bastard that delighted in murdering anti communists.

That's like honoring Hitler.

Seems like one of the candidates is for getting Federal Government more involved in fishing and the other less. IMHO most of the issues threatening our rights to fish like closed seasons, protected marine areas etc are a result of the Federal Goverment. Why would we want more of that??

Seems to me one side gives a crap about the environment and one side doesn't. One side wouldn't want the environment getting in the way of business like dumping chemicals and sewage in the water and one side would want to clean it up and keep it clean.

Isn't it interesting that you are only supposed to eat so much fish because of how much mercury is in certain species? And only allowed to eat so many meals from certain bodies of water and many you should not eat any meals?

Wonder how all that pollution got there? Wonder who would be most interested in putting money in clean air and water and who would be more interested in fracking and burning fossil fuels for energy...

Not sure how far you want to go with this thread....

Bullshit, pure and simple... The Hudson, Raritan, Passiac, and Hackensack Rivers were all dead when I was a kid.. Today they are all full of life.. The water is as clean as I have ever seen it.. We have made great strides in cleaning the air and water in this country.. Democrats AND Republicans. A clean environment is strictly non partisan.

Want to stop using fossil fuels??.. Fine.. Fish from shore for the rest of your life. Unless you can find a solar powered boat.
Can't use fishing line either, its made from petroleum... Oh and you'll need to catch your own bait.. Bare handed I guess..

Hooks??.. Well there ARE made in factories that are powered by fossil fuels.

We can go REAL far with this thread.. Fossil fuels keep my family and yours well fed.. Could you imagine what would happen if all farming were done with oxen or horses??.. Lets be just a little bit realistic here.

That's just the classic lib lie that if you're a conservative then your anti-enviro. Like anybody wants dirty air and water.
The history of the modern day leftist enviromentalist movement started in the 60's with Russian seed money. They hoped to throw a cold war monkey wrench into our industrial growth and hurt our economy by using these groups to challenge everything in court.

Later on in the 90's the Clinton-Gore team saw the huge political value of this and they managed to very successfully mainstream it with that global warming bullcrap. Brilliant actually, as they created a whole new voting block and made a fortune in the process.

Right now they have all these environmentalists running around wanting to stop mining and drilling. Yet, even the govt admits that there has not been one single case of fracking fluid getting into drinking water.

Unfortunately , it seems to be the left that is pushing junk science.

Global warming bull crap? So you don't believe that it's really happening?
The worldwide scientific community has been in agreement for 20 years that this is, in fact, a real phenomenon. Wake up!

If it were not for the environmentalist movement (you know, that Russian Communist plot to destroy America ) we would have no fishing here at all. Zero. Zip. Zilch. Nothing.

Obama is a chump but he at least is trying to hold the line on clean air and water (remember water? That's where all the fishies live!)

I think Romney would roll back regulations on polluting the environment (remember the environment? That's where WE live!) for a short term gain for energy corporations. Maybe we would see a bump in job creation until they figure out a way to eliminate unions completely and import Chinese laborers.

four more years of Obama We won't have to worry about fishing, we will be too bust rioting like Greece! We will be too busy waiting on the food stamp lines, we will be too busy waiting to see a doctor!

We NEED a change and fast!
