Don't worry.......being right off the highway, every jackass who has NO CLUE stops along that area and trudged blindly though the woods. When I lived in Jefferson we used to build stands in key spots in THAT area. Once shotgun season opened though our prime spots were useless as the smart bucks deviated from their normal routines due to foot traffic. They don't get that big by being stupid.

No doubt.. but you have two small windows (opening day of bow) / the rut.. other than that.. they will disappear...

This thing was a gorilla.. and I live in Verona and see monster bucks all day / night..

Even when he was in the grass / he had that skittish / I know I am not suppose to be here look.

Those BOSS bucks are smart.. I have one by my house and he will still not let me get a clean picture of him.. He stays in junk no matter time of day..

I have to say the essex county elimination program worked wonders - this year I am not seeing as many deer from years past in my area...

When I used to have to drive upstate a lot I ALMOST hit a deer and nearly flipped my jeep in the process of avoiding it. From that point on I installed those "Deer Whistle" things under my bumper. Never had that incident again, but I wonder if it was the whistles or luck.
