Default Baby bird id help?

There's a baby bird in the bushes in my front yard. Size of a grown grackle. When it walks it's tail goes up and looks like a male turkey but it has a long skinny beak about 1 1/2 inches long which is not like a turkey. Awful early for birds to be born. There are a bunch wild turkeys in the back yard. I don't know if I should catch it and bring it back there or let nature take it's course?

I Googled woodcock and that's probably it. Had a little blood coming from its mouth. There's some wild cats around which must have found him. Hope for the best. He's hiding now.
