Default Moving into a pork roll world

After spending all 62 years of my life in northern NJ and being used to the great fishing waters up there (and Monksville), I recently moved to south Jersey. High Bridge to be exact (My definition of south Jersey is anything south of Rt 80, and esp. where they call Taylor Ham, pork roll. WTF?).

Though being from northern NJ, I have a long time love/hate affair with Round Valley (love camping there, hate my fishing results) and have memories of Ken Lockwood Gorge from when I first started trout fishing in my 20's

Question to all of you locals. My boat (Nothing fancy, a 14' with a 9.9 on a trailer) is still in a storage unit up in Ogdensburg, over an hour away.

Unfortunately my home owners association (Solitude Village) doesn't allow the storage of boats over 12' on our property. That certainly puts a damper on getting out on the water consistently. Nevermind the $180 a month I pay for storage.

Do any of you in the High Bridge and surrounding area know of a relatively inexpensive place to store a small boat year 'round?

Not looking for a "slip"or a place where they need a fork-lift to retrieve my boat. Just a nearby place where my boat will be safe and I can hook it up to my trailer hitch whenever I want to go out. Please feel free to PM me if you don't want to mention it here.

Haha I was just lookin at a couple houses in high bridge this evening and drove the wife threw ur village....cant help ya on the boat storage other than the many storage units that are not far....ya need full length with the trailer to know what ya need ....we keep ours at friends houses and move it around as needed when they get sick of seeing it or sick of us picking it up at 4 a.m.

I store my boat at Spruce Run. You pay twice a year for summer and winter.
Price is very reasonable. Once boat is move to winter storage in Oct. you wouldn’t have access to it until moving to summer storage in March. Best part is boat storage right next to launch.

Like Logs said, Spruce Run is probably your best bet, other than storing it at a friends house. Though not being able to get the boat after Oct seems weird. I grew up down the road from HB and there are tons of good spots around you, both by boat and on foot. Enjoy the new place!

Are you looking for outdoor or indoor storage? I rent outdoor yard space right off exit 11 on Rt 78, about 5 minutes from Spruce Run. Very reasonable ($150/month) for my shed and two parking spots. They have room there if your interested, let met know.

That sounds like a possibility. Outdoor would be fine with me

Please send me the info and thanks
