Default FISHERMEN/Mondays Bottom Fishing

FISHERMEN/Mondays Bottom Fishing

It took a few drops this morning to find the fish that wanted to bite.... Found a couple nice ones early but they weren't hungry so we moved on. 4th drop was the charm and we had steady action the rest of the day.

South wind came up harder than expected and with the hard outgoing it did get a little nasty. I was actually surprised we caught what we did with those conditions. Dave B landed 70 fish and only kept a couple dozen. Most of the keepers were right at the 9-9 1/2 inch mark. Some Blow fish and plenty of toss back Sea Bass. The 8th can't come quick enough.

Remember guys, we catch them, I don't grow them. We take what we get, there is no secret hole for the Big ones everyday, I wish there was.

Back at it tomorrow! Wednesday is looking a little shaky right now, I'll post tomorrow if we will be sailing.

Capt. Ron

At least this is an honest report as they get. All little fish. I don’t like keeping anything under 10 inches.

Funny you say that about the 10 inches...our measuring boards have two marks, the legal 9 inch mark and the "PREFERRED" keeper mark at 10 inch. The 9 is for the past couple of trips, when the big ones bite we erase the 9 inch mark...

Honest report. And, nobody wants to clean a 9" porgy.
