Default Flushing concern

Flushed out my engine today after fishing and put the connection on too tight and can't get it off. Thought I had WD40 on the boat, but do not. Seems like the inside connection is spinning. Anyone have a suggestion? Thanks

Yes a picture or make and model of engine would help...

Also, make sure you let all the pressure out of the hose and this might help.

Thanks for responding. It is a 2012 Mercury 4 stroke. Took all the pressure and the hose off but still no good. Was wondering till I get it off, cam you run the engine? I thought maybe not since there was a lot of twisting in the connection. Sorry, no picture available. Was thinking about attacking it with some plumb pliers.

have the same connection. Can you get a pliars ahead of the connection to hold it while you try to loosen it with another pair of pliars. The only other thing I can think of is to cut the hose at the connection and you may be able to hold it from inside the connection. Good luck
