Bald eagle
Was riding into work sunday morning on canal road franklin. Where the millstone meets the raritan say a adult male bald eagle heading up the raritan arm. First sighting of a wild bald eagle in my 72 years. Really a cool sight.

Re: Bald eagle
The eagle cam at Duke Farm is always fun to watch. Here's the latest on what's been going on. The eagle you saw might be one from the nest at Duke's.
http://www.conservewildlifenj.org/education/eaglecam/ Scroll down to the 2017 information. Apparently, an eagle that was hatched in NJ has currently found a mate in Connecticut. |

Re: Bald eagle
There's a nesting pair on merrill creek. Been there for years. Also a pair on carnegie lake. Saw them recently low flying right at the tree line. Also see on up on lake solitude down stream of ken lockwood gorge. Really cool bird. Makes you pause for a min. 'Murica!

Re: Bald eagle
I wonder if those eagles would consider feasting on some of those nasty cormorants. The stocked trout don't stand a chance in most of the lakes where there is a population of cormorants and they eat more fish than a few eagles do.
