Default Fall Kayak Fishing Raritan Bay and Tribs

I'm heading back to Jersey in 2 weekends, and I want to get on some stripers or blues from my kayak. I've been trying to figure out where the best spots might be to get them, but a lot of info on fishing for stripers in the bay is for spring time. Does anyone have any tips for fishing the bay in fall? I was also potentially planning on fishing the Hackensack, I know there are spots that are awesome in the spring, but I don't know if I would be wasting my time in the fall.

Launch out of the highlands and head to the hook.

If you get a blue bird day round the hook and head south. Watch the winds or you’ll pay on the way back. But the bite in that area during the fall is great.

Last 2 years the fall bite has been lights out. But if it’s anything like this past summers fluke bite put the kayak away and start praying to the ice god.

Get me on the ice!

Tight lines!
