Default COLD Sunday PIG

It was pretty damn cold this Sunday. Sat around waiting for it to warm up and finally went out around 1pm for one of my favorite activities; Bike and Fish.
Throw the collapsible rod in the camelback and go. Fished for 3 hours and not a single bite. My hands were freezing and I was getting ready to pack it up. Nobody wanted the white plastics with Sunday. Said F it, let me change it up. Been using the double roadrunner setup very successfully recently. Said lets try pink and perch color. 5 cast or so later, BOOM. This big girl hit pink. Scooped her up, snapped a photo and called it a day. I was freezing and my hands had had enough. Cant wait for the warm spring days to arrive. Although I hear snow next weekend.

Nice fish! Double road runner looks like a science experiment gone bad. Amazing what fish will hit!

Thx guys.
Wish I could take credit for the road runner science experiment. Unfortunately, its a stock purchase.

We shall see if I'm ready for "the classic". Heading to lake Okeechobee for a quick day of fishing at the end of the month. Pretty pumped and excited. The thought of a double digit LMB is pretty amazing. Got a few 6 and 7lb-rs under my belt. Hoping for a 10lbs++!!

Nice PIG!!

Actually just got a mountain bike myself. Extreme beginner, lol. Haven't owned or ridden a bike in years!!! Anyway, I had a couple "ride to" fishing trips planned. Any recommendations? I'm looking forward to hitting jungle habitat but want some fishing areas as well. Feel free to pm.......

Unfortunately, no place to really fish at jungle.
But Wawayanda is right around the corner. Great biking there.
Other spots to bike and fish (not blowing up any spots since these areas are quite public for both fishermen and MTB-rs)

- Aeroflex Lake ( Kittatiny Valley State Park)
- Tilcon Lake (Allamuchy/Deer Park..etc..)
- Cranberry Lake (off the Sussex Branch Trail)
- Wawayanda (wawayanda state park)
- Dickerson Mine Reservation
- The Rockaway river (from Tourne Park)
- Shepherds Lake (Ringwood State park)
- Saffin Pond (Mahlon Dickerson)
