Default Delaware River islands?

I'm interested in fishing the big D once my boat project is finished, but I'll also be bringing my family out as well for trips that will be some fishing but mostly sightseeing, exploring, and some swimming. What are some islands that would be good to visit by boat where the kids can run around in the shallows, skip rocks, and we can have a picnic on? I know some are privately owned but that some are PA or NJ state land. For example, headed north from Lambertville there are the following:

Hendrick
Eagle
Prahl's
Walls
Resolution (I think the River Hot Dog guy owns this one or leases it)
Rush
Treasure (This one has the boy scout camp on it but I believe it's been abandoned since 2006)
Skyhawk
Pinkerton
Marshall
Pennington (Private, AFAIK)

I just to make sure I'm not trespassing by landing on one of these islands and spending an afternoon.
