Default the passing of Capt John Larsen

I Just wanted to let the fishing community know that my dad Captain John Larsen passed away yesterday. He was a former marine that served his country in Korea and the Captain of the Deep Adventures III.

There will be a viewing monday May 5th, 2-4p and 7-9 p at silverton memorial funeral home. no funeral service.

So sorry for your loss. Grew up in the area (summers) and knew of your father, actually went Tuna with him once in the 80's although I know he loved the dive trips. Very kind , sharing and knowledgeable man He will be missed by the community.

Just saw this. Sorry for your loss. Took my very first party boat tuna trip with him. I have fond memories!

My condolences, I've heard my Dad talk of him many times. I just read this and will tell him as I don't think he knows. He was very good friends with him and dove often.

Sorry for your loss. I fished with Capt. John over twenty seasons back ,
testing & developing offshore SU rods for a major American rod company . Enjoyed the boat & numerous good canyon trips I sailed while designing these rods .
