Last trip of the decade! Year of the TIGER!!!

Met up with a local walleye legend Sunday morning to see if we could boat up some end of year eyes. The morning started slow with little life. I finally get hit and this fish wasn't head shaking, it just steadily swam in a straight line towards the middle of the lake. I luckily put the breaks on it, turned it back to the Mugger and we had this gorgeous tiger muskie in the net. Quick CPR for the first fish of the day and my first ever tiger! My buddy picked away at a couple eyes shortly after but after 10ish we couldn't buy a bite. We continued to fish hard into the afternoon with not much to show for it. Around 3PM we started to feel the rain come in and decided to revisit a spot before the rain really picked up. First cast, BAM..we got a THICK 24" on the net. I switched baits to mimic what he was throwing and it was game on going into the late afternoon. We fished into the early evening in the cold rain until we couldn't see our lines anymore. Ended the day with 14 eyes to 25" boating 12 in the last 2 hours of the day. These fish were thick! Persistence paid off and i couldn't think of better way to end he year.

Awesome way to end the year. Never leave a trip early. You never know when there gona start chomping! Awesome Tiger and some super fat Walleye to end the year! Way to go my brother! The Mugger is a Walleye machine!!!
