FISHERMEN/Lost another awesome Fishermen.

With much sadness I once again have to post about another beautiful man in my life passing away. George Jones. "Pete as I always knew him" passed away on Nov.17th. at the age of 99. I can't say enough about this guy. At 17 he fought in Iwo Jima earning a Purple Heart for his Bravery. He NEVER talked about that, and I didn't know it till I read his obituary. The man was married for 50 years, talk about dedication. My best memories of him are running through the parking lot in his late 80's to get his spot on the boat! Always presented me with an awesome cigar, every trip! Never one to complain or boast about the day but his smile was priceless. Every man should have Pete's passion for everything they do in life. To say I was blessed once again for this man being a part of my life is an understatement. I wish we could have fished one more time together my friend. Fair winds until we fish again Pete, you still are one of my favorites of all time! ❤❤🥲
