Default Are You a Skillful Angler?

Doesn't anyone on this board catch any qualifying fish in N.J.? Check the 2018 entry board. There appears to be quite a few categories with not entries.

I usually enter a few but didnt get around to it. I understand you can submit fish digitally now and dont have to go through the hassle of printing and snail-mailing.

This is the link to the Skillful Angler Awards Program. Take notice of the Freshwater and Saltwater "Slams".

https://www.state.nj.us/dep/fgw/skflang.htm

Mikey, Chris et.al. The "challenge is to see who gets the first "SLAM" for 2019! The "slam" species are right in your wheelhouse. Keep us posted.

This is a great program that highlights the quality of fish found in our waters. I'm on the board and have participated for many years. I do it for fun and I know it gets guys and gals out on the water.

If there was a category for tires I think I could win that one.

i've done the panfish and bass slams in prior years, unfortunately they never updated 2017 page, but it def is a fun way to challenge yourself! I'm a fan of the multi species challenge (getting 5 and 10 different species of qualifying size in one year) was able to get 10 in 2017 with a big early ice pickerel in december, but his past year i didn't even come close, only had 6 (spent too much time on those lakers without getting that 31" hahaha
