Default Smalliez Galore!

Got out once last week with pops. We fished a haystack in search of some striped needles.... Didn't connect with the target species but found plenty of action to keep us busy. Highlight of the day was a lopsided double hookup. Smallie could've ate the Larry, lol.

Got out again today on a different resi and the bite was still on. Saw 2 bald eagles hanging out before I ever wet a line knew it would be a good day. Smallies were chasing all day. Caught a few, lost a few. Nothing over 18" but nothing below 16"..... Got a decent pickerel too! Highlight was the 2 thick 18" smallies. Little bit warmer today but the clouds made it bearable.......

Almost forgot, I also caught one smallie that happened to be "passing" a hook!! Looked pretty bad. Tried to help it along but didn't want to injure the fish so I just snipped off what I could. Good to know a snapped line and lost lure doesn't automatically mean a dead fish though.

Nice healthy fish. Were they deep? Crazy dark patterns on them!

Yo, with that black cat, the crackhead looking google-eye walleye, and this hook-pooper you've been having a year full of misfits. Good thing you've had a bunch of nice fish in between all of these, um, interesting specimens! HAHA
Sweet smallies, G.

Thumbs up Re: Smalliez Galore!

So much bronze !! Great pics, nice fish.
Got a lake trout one time and it had 3 feet of mono trailing out it's arse, did the best I could.
Hope the parking lot and areas were clean in the 1st set of photos.
