Default Safe Trout Fishing

So I spoke to my daughters about going fishing on Sat and Sun at a local river in Chester NJ. They think I am crazy for leaving the house. I explained will be standing in the water away from everyone.

For those in the know, how many anglers will be out this Sat or Sun?

I fish alone and plan social longggggggg distancing...

I saw nobody Wednesday afternoon at what is usually a pretty popular place but I know there were people farther upstream of me. If I had seen people within 50 yards I would have went somewhere else. Not just cause the virus, I normally don't like to fish around others.

Use your discretion and you should be fine. Going to the supermarket is much more of an unsafe situation than trout fishing will ever be.

Well, I did get out on Sat and had lots of fun. Every fly worked and even met a nice man (his name escapes me but I am sure someone knows him, retired..drives a light blue Mustang GT). I had music in one ear and we were talking from across the river...social distancing. I was in Chester. The fish were jumping out of the water but I was not going dry flying. The Copper John Emerger was hitting constantly to the point it got boring. I then went with the Holy Grail and got a few more. All were released quickly and safely.
