Shit, 13lb fish for you 1st pb trip!!!!...that's awesome! I'm figuring you won the pool...  Watch the guys who are catching fish, do what they do...blackfishing is a never ending learing experience...some days, breaid, some mono...someday light sinker, someday go heavy...someday move the bait, somedays keep still while he picks at your bait till it drives you nuts to swing on him....someday greens, somedays whites...someday single hook, someday snafu...etc...etc...etc. 1 rule of thumb ---- Always fish with some slack in your line. Again congrats on a beautiful fish.
