Default Fluke and bluefish

Went fishing 🎣 in Manasquan Inlet this evening on a cool, sunny nor’easter with an outgoing tide. Caught, tagged and released a fluke and bluefish with a plain hook Ava A-17. Lost a big fluke and missed 2. The fisherman to my left caught a big bluefish. Saw minnows in the inlet for the first time this year. They looked like black drum. Fish 🐟 jumped out of the water nearby. I didn’t get a hit on a popper.

Nice... I see you enjoy tagging many of the fish you catch in the Manaquan. Excellent job!... I don't see you mentioning tagging any of the fish you catch in the fresh water lakes you fish.. Not enough return?.. Poor survival? Lakes not large enough?... No big deal, I;m just curious if you tag any fresh water fish at all.... bob

It’s illegal to tag fish in NJ freshwater without a permit.
