Fisher Price IV 8/2 Thresher Sharks!!!

Had the Chris Varjan charter out this morning. Plan was to head to the bluefin grounds, but with the forecast the guys opted to do some sharking instead. Got to the grounds and had the first line in the water for about 5 min and the reel started screaming. Set up on him and after a 30 minute battle sunk the gaffs into a nice thresher around 270 lbs. Got the lines back out and 10 minutes later had another one on. After a short battle we released a nice thresher around 130 lbs. Ran back up the drift and 15 minutes into it the short rod goes off. Fought the fish for about 45 minutes on 27 lbs of drag and got a look at our biggest of the day. Fish was about 14 ft long with the tail and we estimated it at about 320 lbs before releasing. Drifted for about another hour and hooked up one more time. After a 25 minute battle we released our fourth thresher for the day at around 170 lbs. This was some of the best shark fishing any of us had ever experienced.
