Let me start by saying, we are novice Tog fisherman, so our PB's aren't that big, but we are sure excited. We had an absolute banner day of Tog fishing. We both got our PB Tog, my Dad's coming in at 16 1/2 and mine coming in at 17 3/4 and almost 4 pounds, weighed in at 3.91 pounds. My 4 pounder was released to fight another day and I kept a 15 inch keeper. We both got our one keeper each and released 5 more keepers.
Total we caught over 20 Tog and most of the shorts were in the 12-14 inch range. All were caught on green crabs and all of mine were caught on a 1 ounce S&S John Skinner Blackfish Jig in the "crab guts" color. It was awesome being able to share such an epic day of fishing with my father. He's taught me so much about fishing and crabbing and I've passed that onto my daughter. Here is some video of the action, hope you enjoy! https://youtu.be/FPbn860pEm0 Last edited by flukeyou; 10-03-2020 at 09:45 AM.. |
