Default Reel Class Fluke - Last Few Days...

Fished Sunday, Monday, and Today.

Sunday 8/23: Half Day river trip with Liz and family. Boated ~75 short fluke with no keepers but the kids had a great time and rods were bent all morning long. Had 3-4 on at a time at times and the bite was very good for the youngsters!

Monday 8/24: Had an open trip on Monday. Fished all over the place. Fishing basically was horrible as the ocean was still recovering from the NE and the heave. Wound up with only 5 keepers to 19".

Wednesday 8/26: Had Matt, Bob and crew on today. Again fished all over the ocean and slowly picked away. Nicer fish today to 22", just not enough of them, and way too many lucky would-be keeper seabass that had to go back. 7 keepers and 2 ling was the tally - we also had a few genuine BOSTON mackerel on our teasers while fishing a piece in 80' of water.

No pics necessary - hoping this turns around before the season closes!

Great day on the water with Alan and Joe today, Al worked his butt off trying to find that hot bit. Our crew stayed on the rail all day working the Spros. Pulled some quality fish. Good day on a good boat with great guys. A winner.

This season has been so up and down its maddening!

Way to get the kids into a bite. That always brings them back for more
