Default 2 pig walleye Aug 9/10

Hit it around midnight. Bit downstream of my usual haunts. Started with 3.75" soft plastics. 5th or 6th cast I got bit. Def a good fish. Substantial amount of weight and head shakes. Get her to my feet and landed a 26+" pig eye. Sweet.

Threw soft stuff for an hour more with just some tail nibbles. Switched to larger plugs and casted for another hour with just a bump. Right before packing it in I wandered downstream with my head lamp on and spotted a big ol set of eyes in a shallow pool. Clicked off the lamp and lobbed my plug upstream of the fish. Few turns of the handle and WOMP! Fish thrashed in the shallows then darted into the deeper current upstream. Felt reaaaal good! Got her up to my feet and slid her up on some green muck. Thick thick fish with a massive head. She taped out around 27 and change. Awesome night with 2 quality fish.

I've gotten some really nice walleyes on the river this year...they're doing quite well, feeding and reproducing. Here's the porn fellas...
