Andy, San Diego has one of largest Partyboat/Charter fleets on the West Coast. The fishing tourism business is unreal. There also used to be a huge commercial tuna industry until they got regulated out of business so they went to foreign registry to survive. The boats left and most if not all canneries closed on the southwest coast. I think they learned to speak up or lose it all.
I agree with what Capt. Ron said. I was also on one of the busses with the Bogans and their crews as many of the boats sailed from our inlet. The second time I was disappointed in the turnout . I rode with Capt. Bob and Capt. Howard Bogan and a lot of our crews. I would like to think that we made a difference.
I will be at the poll tomorrow bright and early. I will vote for the same person as I voted for last time. A lot of people say my vote won't make a difference . I tell them, you will never know if you don't.
