Default Fluke Fishing 9-11-25

Saw a good weather window Thursday midday so I decided to give it a shot. Left the barn and the bay was slightly choppy but no big deal. As soon as we got past the hook and into the ocean it was a whole different story. Big fairly close 4 ft swell with a chop on top. Not what I was expecting. But is it ever? Went straight out and fished a bunch of numbers catching nothing but shorts. Headed south a bit close to the fleet and hit some numbers catching short fluke and big sea bass up to 16". Of course had to release them knuckleheads to hopefully catch in october. This was the first time this year I returned to the barn without any fish to clean. I know them bigger fluke are still around it's just a matter of the ocean settling down. Nevertheless it was a beautiful day and when we decided to head in the ocean was flat like a lake and I got a chance to "open her up"! You gotta be in it to win it! Better luck next time...I hope! Tight lines!

As we all know yesterday was 9-11.... "Never Forget"
