After 8:30 the crowds built and it was time to go. Good stuff for sure. Appreciate the heads up. It’s a beautiful place!!!
The lake association keeps a very firm grip on everything that happens up that way. It's often frustrating, but there are lots of positives. The horrible cell coverage up there is due to there not being any cell towers allowed. Take note next time you're there, look around at all the ridgelines, no towers, no electric transmission cables, nothing. The view is undisturbed.

The lake remains amazingly clear too, which is also partially credited to the plethora of rules and regs that the lake association has in place. That southern end is where everything flows, so a bit less evident there, and thats where the e-coli issues happen, but it's still pretty nice.

If you ever get a chance, run up further north on the lake. The town of Bolton Landing on the west side is really nice. The Sagamore is a nice stop with tons of history. And as you go further north, all the touristy stuff dissipates, and you get to really enjoy the natural beauty.

Anyway, glad you had a good trip.
