RIP Capt. Dale:
125' Jamaica:
In loving memory of Capt. Dale Steinert.
It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Capt. Dale, the longtime captain of the 125’ Jamaica and a towering figure in the Northeast fishing community. For four decades, Capt. Dale guided the Jamaica through sunrises and storms, always with a steady hand, deep knowledge of the ocean, and a passion for sharing the sport of fishing with generations of anglers.
Capt. Dale guided the Jamaica with unmatched skill, dedication, and a deep respect for the ocean. His presence on the bridge was a symbol of confidence and safety for all who stepped aboard. He welcomed anglers from all walks of life: seasoned fishermen, wide-eyed first-timers, and everyone in between and gave them not just a fishing trip, but a lasting memory.
To the fishing community, his loss is immeasurable. Capt. Dale was a mentor, a friend, and a fixture of our community. His voice over the loudspeaker and his generous spirit will be sorely missed. The docks will feel a little quieter, the waters a little lonelier, without him.
Our thoughts are with his family and the countless lives he touched over the years. Thank you, Capt. Dale, for the wisdom, the stories, the laughs, and the legacy. Your wake will ripple through these waters for generations to come.
Fair winds and following seas Capt. Dale.
You will never be forgotten.
