Applying for my 91th NJ Skillful Angler Recognition Award 🥇
Went fishing 🎣 in 73 degrees Carnegie Lake yesterday evening on a warm, sunny day with a light south wind. 11 other fishermen were there. One was from Burkina Faso 🇧🇫. Threw out canned, whole kernel corn 🌽 for chum, then caught and released 3 channel catfish, 2 brown bullheads, a white perch and a pumpkin sunfish with my homemade corn meal bait, corn bait and a chartreuse 1/32 oz twister tail jig on 2 lb test line. I’m applying for my 91th NJ Skillful Angler Recognition Award for a 15” Catch and Release brown bullhead. My first 3 applications this year were accepted. The resident great blue heron caught and swallowed a bluegill and sunfish. A catbird was nearby. I took lots of pics.
