As I was preparing to go fishing 🎣, another fisherman arrived, then went directly to my fishing spot. While walking behind him, I saw a northern water snake and made a video. Went to my backup spot, then threw out canned whole kernel corn 🌽 for chum. Saw another water snake 🐍 swim across my fishing spot very close to the shore. When it saw me reach for my cell phone, it dove underwater and I didn’t see it again. Caught and released a bluegill with a chartreuse 1/32 oz twister tail jig on 2 lb test line. Used up all of my old corn meal bait and part of my new bait without catching anything. Hooked a carp on corn 🌽 bait but it quickly swam into the candocks, then escaped with my jig and middle hook. Landed a 7 lb 5 oz common carp on my last cast. My jig and middle hook were missing again.
