Default Weekend of chasing flags!

I got out and Fished this weekend on two different lakes. Saturday I had Tom out with me, plan was to find some of those yellow belly piranhas. Took a ride to the rock and took a long hike set up on a nice underwater piece I was eyeing up and had flags flying in no time. Ended up with a bunch of perch pickerel bass and a sweet sunburn face. Tom got a real nice jumbo we’re gonna enter to skillful and see if it holds.

Sunday switched Venues had Jerry and his daughter savanna out. This was savanna’s first time out ice fishing and sure not to be her last. Savanna hung strong all day not once asking when they were going home! A real trooper!
Set some tip ups up and made a few jiggin holes in crappie land and before we could get the rest of the gear set up she was on and dialed in quick with the help of dad. Very good bite went on for the better half of the morning til the sun came out on our shadow and slowed em down a lot. Got some decent fish on tip ups along the way the rest of the day. The usual stuff… great to see the kid out pulling these fish through the holes just something you really don’t see too often these days. Great job savanna!

I myself am probably done with my ice trips with clients for the year. I’m hoping to get out a few times before the big melt. Thanks to all that came out this hardwater season and fished with me and I’ll see ya guys out there!
