The last fish 🎣 that I caught this year was a 13” crappie
Went ultralight fishing 🎣 in 45 degrees Carnegie Lake this afternoon on a warm, cloudy day with a light southeast wind. 10 fishermen caught lots of fish. Young Alec from Florida caught his first NJ fish 🐟, then I took his picture with his cell phone camera. He is going to be in my spot a lot. I caught and released 21 white perch including a double, 4 gizzard shad a yellow perch and a 13” white crappie with Walmart red worms 🪱 on 4 lb test line. The last fish 🐠 that I caught in 2024 was a 13” crappie. Catching 27 fish 🎣 was an outstanding way to end the year. I caught 1,829 fish 🐟 in 235 NJ fresh water fishing 🎣 trips this year and won 🏆 7 NJ Skillful Angler Recognition Awards. In salt water, I caught 59 fish 🐠 in 52 trips and won 🏆 an award 🥈 with my 33” 12 lb bluefish that was knocked out of first place by half an inch but was caught and released in NY at 12.5 lb. Winning 🏅 a total of 87 awards was amazing 🤩.
