Re: Survival - If You Only Had One....
It would be a small jig head maybe 1/8, to 1/4 ounce with a small chartreuse mr twister tail.. as basic as it gets.. With that small, very basic lure thats a part of every little kids bubble pack beginner "Zebco Spincast Fishing outfit", I have caught SMB, LMB, Walleyes,Pickerel, Pike, Channel Cats, Bullheads, Carp, Lake and Brown Trout, LL Salmon,, Crappies, Sunnies, Rock Bass,Yellow Perch, Suckers, Fallfish, and probably a few others I have forgotten. One time even hooked and lost a monster Muskie on a panfish sized twister tail that broke my line in fast heavy river current after a long, leaping battle, and spooling my cheap little spinning reel.. Might not be the ""best"" lure I have ever used, but that cheap little weird green twister tail, has been by far the most versatile and productive lure I have ever used in the fresh waters of upstate NY.. In a SHTF scenario, I hope I have hundreds of them on hand... bob
