Action packed Tuna Trip Tuesday!
We had a good tuna trip on Tuesday. We went right back to the area we ended up on Monday.
We arrived on the grounds around 4 AM. Other than a couple of sharks we didn’t have any action in the dark. However, at sunrise we started seeing slicks and Tuna chicks.
We made a short move and caught a few bluefin tuna.
We had breezy conditions early, then the ocean calm down then it picked up again later on.
We moved several times during the day to get back on the schools of tuna and baitfish.
We caught Tuna on Jigs, poppers, and Bait.
Also, some false albacore and Skipjacks caught.
We wound up with our limit of under bluefin tuna, and several yellowfin tuna up to 70 pounds.
It looks good for our upcoming trips. We saw plenty of life, and good readings of Tuna and baitfish in the area.
Our next trip sails Monday night at 9 PM and we do have space available.
