This effects commerce, the Party & Charter boats that have to traverse that inlet not to mention the Coast guard that is stationed there. What if there is a bad situation where they can't get out!!!

I should have called Congressman Smiths office when I first noticed the shoaling two weeks ago. I did not expect it to get that bad, that quickly.
I called his office Sunday afternoon 8/4, and within one hour his staff responded, and was in contact with the ACOE.
We were lucky that the dredge Murden was in our area and they were able to alter the schedule to take care of Manasquan inlet.
We are also lucky to have a Representative as responsive as Chris Smith and his staff who have always gone to bat for us when called.
