Default Stripes and other river fun

Some stripes and fish ive caught since the start of April.
Last 4 outings to the river i couldnt find a stripe! saw some bait, i think small herring? heron was enjoying it. Even tried at night

Last year it was much better in terms of numbers. I also tend to land a small one in the month of March but got a late start landing my first only in April. There was a lot of low swinging temps this spring.
With the lack of rain too i found myself closer to the tidal parts.
At least this season i landed 2 bigger ones however.

I did pick up some flatheads and walleyes on jigs, not as big like last year.

Night fishing in 64F water temps at the lake; not a great hybrid bite but it was going on at least. I would do more soon but may be up to NY state for a bit as soon as the water temps come up again.
