Thanks Bob. I was really surprised how welcoming and helpful the guys on the section of river we fished were. Maybe they took some pity on guys like me new to the fishery

I would guess that not's always the case and might be worse in the spots closer to town where there's more fishing pressure or maybe we lucked out.
