Caught 31
Went carping in 78 degrees Carnegie Lake this evening on a warm, cloudy day with a light south wind. 14 other fishermen were there. Threw out a can of corn for chum, then caught and released 23 bluegills, 3 white perch, 2 yellow perch, a largemouth bass, a 17” channel catfish and a musk turtle 🐢. Landed 84 turtles this year. Caught my 2,300th fish 🎣 for this year. The catfish cut my finger when I threw it back into the water. It had spines on the side of its pectoral fin. I saw a great blue heron catch and swallow 5 bluegills. Killed 2 mosquitoes.
