5/1 Magic Hour Trip
Made an impromptu magic hour trip aboard the Misty Morn on Sunday 5/1.
Made one drift atop of readings a few minutes outside the mouth of their ‘inlet’. South wind had picked up and I knew we were in for a tough night.
Made the trip east. First drift, I had an immediate hit on a flutter spoon which I missed. A few fishless drifts before the first bass was boats (@32-33”s) on a shad. (Note the drift was so fast that a 5 ounce jighead barely held). I soon followed with a 28.25” bass that fell for a white flutter spoon. Those were the only 2 bass of the night-although I did have one other bump when I switched to a Dartspin.
