I went to a late season spot in the north western part of nj this weekend and found 6" 0f ice with a half inch of snow/sleet on top. the fish were a bit finicky but still were willing to play some. I fished in 6' to 8' of water with my #1 jig and got some decent fish for my efforts. i do not know how much longer i will find safe ice to play on so this might have been my last trip for the 2022 season.
way to early for me to be saying that oh well not a bad season with 31 days fished and decent fish as well. Now it is time to get those jig-n-bobbers ready for the search for"EL CRAPO" maybe this is the year i get him he has eluded me so far, it is not easy to get a 16" 2lb plus crappie. I have included pis from today it was a nice day to be out on the hardwater.
