Obsession Swan Song Stripers
Got out late afternoon with Adam D Fish on a last minute trip before we put the boat up.. Took a ride to the middle of the Raritan Bay, zip.... Took a ride out around the hook, zip.... Stopped on some marks off Sandy Hook beach and all Doggies. You'd reel one up and there were 10 following so got out of there...
It was looking like a we'd have to settle for a nice sunset pic as we steamed towards home and then all of a sudden we saw the birds up an dipping in the distance.. An hour of drop and reel fishing to save the day...
Adam was fishing a swim Shad and got a few, I tried a top water popper with no love... Switched to a Flutter spoon when I saw marks on the bottom and got a few legals which were released to fight another day.
Nice afternoon on the water for sure and a fitting way to end another season on the Obsession.
