Got outta work Friday and snuck out to play clean up on the river. Hit up the rockaway and worked some good holes that usually hold some fish and didn’t see much. Started hitting the popular holes and found a good one with a bunch darting around and a realllly good one close to 5 lbs. The big one didn’t want nada but I managed to get a few on the plugs.

Saturday I did a little recon mission to see what’s going on at the big pond with the mamba. Took me a while but I found em good and had them really good under the boat picked 1 and bailed... with the rain cooler temps and once we get off this moon I think it’s gonna be game on just in time for the meet &greet we are planning for in the next week or two.

Sunday I did the guide thing and took out 8 year old Giovanni and his dad for some streamside action. We fished the black river and the southbranch and the guy found a few rainbows to play with on the jigs and plugs.
