Totally agree, a public ramp is needed and would be great. I guess the issue is finding publicly owned property, either township, county or state with the space for a ramp or ramps plus adequate parking and the funding to create such an area.As for the existing marinas with ramps, they are private and correct me if I am wrong, but can charge whatever they want for a launch. It does suck, but it's their business and they run it as they see fit. I always liked launching out of Moosehead , but guess those days are over! Just my 2 cents.
