In case you are not aware, most surveyors typically survey the hull and the mechanicals, will water test the boat to make sure the engines are getting up to the required RPMs, but most are not going to do an in depth survey of the engine itself.

Depending on which type of motors you have, you might want to have a more in depth survey done on them.. Compression test, oil analysis, confirm engine hours, any fault codes etc.. If you want to go that route, you'll likely need to contact someone who is an authorized dealer for your motor brand and or has the diagnostic tools needed to do a more complete run down on your engines.

Thanks so Jerry for the detailed information. I bought a 2016 sea fox 256 Voyager with Twin Yamaha 150 . Only has 70 hours on both engines. Not sure if I need compression test but I will ask.
