It's whatever color they want that day in the location your fishing. Pink last year was a great color for us. Lot of times when there's squid around pink / pink shine is the go to. As far as the bucktail, go as light as possible while keeping touch with bottom and the more vertical you are the better your chances of hooking up and not getting snagged.
